At the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) event on Egypt’s North Coast in August 2023, AB Avantage co-founder Ayman Elkasaby joined a panel on artificial intelligence and the future of investment, alongside Sherif El Behairy, CEO of MDI, and other leaders from Egypt’s financial and technology sectors.
Ayman spoke about where AI already helps investors and financial institutions, from market forecasting and sentiment analysis to automated trading and portfolio optimisation, and argued that its real value is in supporting human judgement with better data rather than replacing it.
After the panel, Ayman and Bassel Riad met fellow speakers, founders and investors to talk about AI projects in Egypt’s financial sector.
